This month the compromise texts of the AMLR and AMLD have been released, view the texts: AMLR (pdf), AMLD (pdf) and the accompanying note (pdf).
The European Commission, Council and Parliament are in a hurry, the legislative process must be completed before a new European Parliament and European Commission takes office.

The previous texts contained the necessary elements that violate the fundamental rights of European citizens. Closer examination of the new texts should reveal what the European trio did with them. We will see whether the European bodies will provide another step towards the financial surveillance society.
