The European Commission has started a consultation on digital company law, covering the following subjects:

• Improvement of the European Business Registers Interconnection System (BRIS).
• Using company data in in cross-border administrative or judicial procedures.
• Using business register information by companies when expanding to markets in other Member States.
• New digital developments in EU company law, including virtual registered office.
